If you're looking for a way to honor those lost on September 11th, 2001, we'd like to recommend an event for you. The "And Then There Was Quiet: New York After the Attacks" exhibit is part documentary photography and part art installation. It features the stunning body of artwork captured by photographer Dave Gordon. Here's some more description from the event webpage:
The exhibit provides a unique look at the 9/11 tragedy by focusing on intimate moments. It offers a side of this important American event not chronicled elsewhere. At each exhibit venue, the viewer experiences intimate site specific installations echoing the times of the displayed photography. A major highlight of the show is terrarium of the dust which resulted from the collapse of the Twin Towers and covered Lower Manhattan like snow.
This stunning 9/11 exhibit will be open to the public from now until September 30, 2015 7 days a week from 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the John F. Germany Public Library, 900 North Ashley Drive, Tampa, FL 33602. For more information about this event, feel free to visit the exhibit website.
